Present perfect (simple)
Formation (formazione): have/has + past participle.
We use the present perfect for:
– past experiences, when we don’t say exactly when they happened ( we often use ever and never before the main verb).
– recent past actions, often with just
– with yet (questions and negatives sentences) and already ( positive sentences).
Si usa il p. perfect per:
– azioni passate che non sappiamo definire temporaneamente
– azioni passate recenti, spesso con just
– con yet (domande e frasi negative) e already (frasi positive)
Present perfect+for / since
We use this present perfect with non action verbs (e.g like, know, love, have,…) to talk about something which started in the past and is still true now.
We use for + a period of time e.g for two weeks; or since + a point of time e.g since 1899
Present perfect or past simple?
We use the present perfect to talk about past experiences and recent past actions when we don’t specify a time.
We use the past simple to ask or to talk about finished actions in the past (we often use a past time expression for example yesterday, last morning,….)
Present perfect o past simple?
Si usa il primo per parlare di azioni passate e passate da poco quando non si specifica il tempo.
Si usa il past simple per parlare di azioni finite nel tempo nel passato ( si usano spesso espressioni di tempo passato comeper esempio yesterday, last morning,…)
